TK Preschool Spanish

While I feel that English is the primary language to be taught and spoken in America, and TK is primarily an English speaking facility, I also feel that being bilingual (speaking a second language) can be a huge asset in our lives and the lives of our children. I am NOT bilingual (not for lack of trying!), however, TK is fortunate enough to have, as a longtime friend and TK family member, a

retired ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher, who has agreed to come to TK 2 times a week, on a volunteer basis, to teach Spanish to our preschoolers! Muy Bien! (Very Good)

Ms. Ida used to work for Grossmont School District and Lakeside Union School district as an ESL (English as a second language) teacher. She is bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish. She has had experience teaching English to children and adults of all ages and assorted native languages. She retired in 2007.
